Credit cards, debit cards, direct deposit and other forms of e-payments are booming in popularity, apparently at the expense of check usage. This is good news for the economy because e-payments are cheaper and faster to process than checks.

The futures market is not a perfect crystal ball. In some cases, it accurately forecasts what spot prices will be in the future. But not always.
