Ford, Skelton Reappointed to St. Louis Fed's Little Rock Branch Board

St. Louis — Scott T. Ford, president and CEO of ALLTEL Corporation in Little Rock, has been reappointed by the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System to the board of directors of the Little Rock Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis. Ford is also chairman of the Cellular Telephone and Internet Association, a member of the Young Presidents' Organization, Fifty for the Future and the Little Rock Regional Chamber of Commerce.

Raymond E. Skelton, regional president of U.S. Bank in Little Rock, has been reappointed by the board of directors of the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis to the St. Louis Fed's Little Rock Branch. Skelton is also a member of the executive committee of the Little Rock Regional Chamber of Commerce, chairman of the board of directors of the Baptist Health Foundation, a member of the executive committee of the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra, and chairman of the board of directors of the Pulaski County United Way.

With branches in Little Rock, Louisville and Memphis, the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis serves the Eighth Federal Reserve District, which includes all of Arkansas, eastern Missouri, southern Indiana, southern Illinois, western Kentucky, western Tennessee and northern Mississippi. The St. Louis Fed is one of 12 regional Reserve Banks that, along with the Board of Governors in Washington, D.C., comprise the Federal Reserve System. As the nation's central bank, the Federal Reserve System formulates U.S. monetary policy, regulates state-chartered member banks and bank holding companies, and provides payment services to financial institutions and the U.S. government.
